The research in the city
Right at the start of R.A.C.E.S., a qualitative survey based on the focus group methodology has been conducted in all the urban araes involved. The aim was to investigate the public perception on the climate change issues and to look for insights and suggestions to build up the R.A.C.E.S. communication campaign.
At the heart of R.A.C.E.S. lies, in fact, the awareness raising campaign on the local impact of the climate change. The target groups - teachers, families and local stakeholders - will be informed and made aware of the climate change issues and on the mitigation and adaptation strategies both at national and local level.
Methodology and samples
The survey was based on 15 focus group held with teachers, families and stakeholders in the R.A.C.E.S. 5 urban areas.
